I’ve actually been searching for a day and a half and see lots of others with similar questions on different versions but cannot find the answer. I have multiple mono files and want to start new recordings at the zero point but quickplay does not allow it. It just starts playing and there is no option to disable. Version 3.4.2 Thank you.
“R” record and “Shift+R” record alternate depend on the setting in Audacity > Preferences > Recording > Start a New Track. One starts at the beginning and the other at the end of existing.
