One of my favorite pieces of fictional work has always been I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, something that has gained a lot of popularity on TikTok recently. This is mainly due to the central antagonist “AM” who is a megalomaniac master computer that is voiced by the guy that wrote the book and worked on the videogame version. There is also a BBC radio play of the book on YouTube where AM is also voiced by the author, Harlan Ellison.
I’m trying to record a monologue for an original character to use in a show reel that is similar to the AM we hear in the radio play but with my limited knowledge of sfx and not being able to replicate voice effects without guidance: Is there anyone that knows how to replicate the voice effects of AM from the BBC Radio Play of “I Have No Mouth and I must Scream”?
