Hello everyone,

I’m working on cleaning up some audio recordings and struggling to remove background noise without affecting the voice quality too much. I’ve tried using Noise Reduction, but sometimes it makes the audio sound robotic or muffled.

Does anyone have recommendations on:

  1. The best Noise Reduction settings for a natural sound?
  2. Alternative techniques or plugins for cleaner audio?
  3. Ways to enhance voice clarity after noise removal?

Any advice or step-by-step guides would be greatly appreciated!

What is the performance and what is the"noise?"

Noise isn’t “anything I don’t like.” Did a truck drive by? Air conditioning fans? Broken microphone? There are some sounds almost impossible to remove such as TV in the next room or live room echoes.

Post a sample of the performance on the forum. Export a ten second WAV (Microsoft). Upload is the heavy sideways bar with the up arrow.
