Audio recording of the conversation. The quality is generally not bad, but on the hissing sounds there are loud whistling noises hitting the ears. What tool can be used to smooth out this defect?

A de-esser. There is an Audacity-specific de-esser plugin called desibilator.

Desibilator works great! I downloaded it, threw it into plug-ins, opened in effects and applied it without changing any settings. I immediately got an excellent result, all the sharp hissing sounds that hit my ears are gone, now you can listen to the recording normally. Thanks a lot!!!
