How do i export the audio in multiple files after i seperate them like this?

I know there is an option to export the files seperatly if i move each autio one under the other’ but that would take too much time i have multiple projects’ i would find it easier just to seperate the audio like in the screen shot and i need to know how from that i can click EXPORT and for it to save on my pc in seperate files

PLEASE HELP ME

I think you did it wrong…

You should insert a label at the place wherever a new piece starts. This label should contain the name of the song (or whatever).

Afterwards, you can fill in all the information which is valid for all pieces in the “metadata” dialog.

Then you select “export” in the format you wisch (mp3, or whatever). You’ll end up with as many files as you had labels, all named correctly and in the case of mp3 with the correct metadata. Select “multiple files” and “Labels” In the export dialog, you also have again the possibility to set your metadata.

Thank you for your reply, Could you could show the labels in English as I do not seem to find nd understand the process from our program which is in English

Just to re-explain you can see via the screen shot its 1 audio which we have cut i need to export them so they all download seperatly and not as 1 audio file

As

No, I cannot show them in English, since my computers are set up in German.

But: Why do you not try to access the menu? “Edit” (= Bearbeiten) is next to “File” (Datei).

“Metadaten-Editor” will probably be called similarly in English.

The metadata tags will be in English wenn you open the dialog, and then you’ll see what they are.

Everything about track labels is in the Audacity online manual.

I have seen what you did in your screen shot, but it is not the right way to export multiple files. Maybe it can be made to work - but maybe/probably not. Put labels there where the new song (or whatever) starts.

The music file doesn’t need to be split into tracks. That can be done automatically when you export the audio. Use Ctrl-B to insert labels to identify each track, then type in the names of the tracks at each label. When you choose Export Audio, pick Multiple Files (under Export Range) , then Split Files based on Labels.
