I wish to apply an effect or a series of effects to voices and songs so that they sound like awesome transcended voices from another dimension. I wish to know what it is I need to do in audacity (or any other audio program) to make this happen.
Try the “Cathedral” preset in the Reverb effect (see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/reverb.html)
Actually, I did try a series of effects. They were “bode freqency shifter (cv),” “delay,” and “phaser.” It did a good job of doing so. But I was wondering if there was something better out there that would have a much better effect whether it be in audacity or some other audio software. Let’s pretend I was a professional voice actor, then what types of effects would I need to apply in order for my recorded voices to be top of the class professional material? Again, the vibe I am going for here are awesome transcended voices from a higher dimension.

A good voice actor (or singer) doesn’t need any effects. However, it is common to add a touch of EQ to correct for microphone imperfections, and some compression for more intensity/loudness. And some reverb for singing (so it sounds somewhat like a concert hall) instead of a recording studio.
Every singer sounds different, even when singing the same notes, and some singers sound better than others. That’s just the character/quality of the particular voice and it’s the same with speaking voices.
The exception might be if you wanted an artificial-unnatural alien/robot/machine effect, and in those cases you might use some heavy effects/processing.

I’m don’t know what that means. John Lennon once told the engineer that he wanted to sound like he was singing on the moon… The engineer didn’t know what he meant either.
