I know I can change the pitch of an already existing track and I know that I can play the audio WHILE I’m recording (playback of input).
What I want to know is how I can change the pitch of the playback audio .
I want to do a livestream with audacity and I can do that by ‘monitoring’ my voice while having ‘playthrough of input’ checked, but I want to use a different pitched voice, while doing that. Is that possible for me to instantly change the pitch of the playback?
No it’s not. Audacity does not do real-time processing. You can change the pitch of a recorded track using the “Change Pitch” effect, but you can’t use Audacity as a real-time effect processor.
I don’t exactly want to change the pitch in real-time. I just want to change the pitch of the input playback before the track is finished recording, which is a little delayed compared to real-time.
Audacity does not apply effects during recording. This is a fundamental feature of the kind of editor that Audacity is, so it is very unlikely that will change any time soon.
I have also tried changing sound enhancements(from Realtek) of my computer speakers but the pitch shift won’t go beyond +4 or -4 semitones. Do you know how to get beyond the limits(change the pitch by more than 4)?
That’s my alternative idea where I do that and then monitor the audio with Audacity.
it is possible to change the pitch of your voice in real-time during a livestream using Audacity, but it requires some additional setup. Try to change the pitch of the audio or video files with some pitch changers.
