How do I apply an effect to a certain portion of a track?

Well well well… I was playing with Audicity and found the effects, but they must be applied to the entire track. Is there any way I can make it so the effect only is applied to the highlited portion of my recording? Thanks for the feedback!

To apply an effect to just one part of a track, “Select” the part that you want to apply the effect to.
By default, if no part is selected then Audacity will select everything.
See here for how to “Select” audio: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/audacity_selection.html

If you require further help please state which version of Windows you are using, the exact three-section version of Audacity from “Help > About Audacity” and whether you obtained the .exe installer or the zip.

Haha, thanks! It wasn’t working the first few times I tried it. Makes me look quite dumb… How embarrassing…
