Heard in YouTube it’s complicated but can be done but how?
What’s the app? If you have a music player or want to record a YouTube performance, it’s not too dreadful.
If you’re trying to record a Skype , Zoom, or Google Meat, you go straight to a second computer, environment recording in a soundproof room, or getting Zoom to do it for you.

Could you please elaborate exactly what your question is?
My new DAW Luna don’t let me record what comes out of a drummer plugin on an instrument track. Want to record it to put back in as audiofile. So how do I record anything that sounds from my speakers directly in to audacity. Kosikovsky above suggest I use a microphone on another computer but I want better quality
You did so far not mention what version of macOS is running on your computer. And you should probably also tell us what “DAW Luna” is - I know what DAW is (although never used / seen in real life), but I do not want to make in-depth researches to answer your question…
Do you hear on your Mac’s built-in speakers what you want to record? If so, you could probably use either Soundflower or BlackHole to re-direct the sound output to Audacity. Set the output in the system settings to Soundflower/BlackHole, and the input source in Audacity to Soundflower/BlackHole.
Thanks for responding. Found a good instruction video on YouTube so now I’m going to try installing blackhole as you mentioned. PAUSE. ( I’ll get back here to tell if I managed to make it.)
Downloaded Blackhole. Useful on the DAW app I wanted to manage. YouTube have several instruction videos to learn from about Blackhole. Good luck to others. Over and out.
