HiFiMan HM-101 Compatability [SOLVED]

Hi, I’m new here but came to this site looking for a setting that would enable me to use my hifiman HM-101 on my computer without losing it as an option to record from. I use Audacity to record different things from my computer and like having a program that enables me to make a recording of an sound that comes from my soundcard. But when I plug in the HiFiMan HM-101 (A USB driven DAC) I no longer have that option. If there is a way to enable this by changing a setting I cannot find it so I’m thinking maybe an enhancement?

Please take a look at the pink panel at the top of the page and tell us which operating system you are on and what version of Audacity (all three numbers).

If you want to record songs playing on the USB device and you are on Windows, make sure you have Audacity 2.0.6 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows and use the Windows WASAPI recording host in Device Toolbar.

Please read this for instructions: Tutorial - Recording Computer Playback on Windows - Audacity Manual.

I am using Widows 7 and Audacity 2.0.1; I will upgrade to 2.0.6 and post back.

Thanks for your help!

Followed the above instructions and it works perfectly now.

Thanks!
