Hi, I need help capturing music with a capture card. I’ve tried for days to get this right, but I can’t find anyone with my problem.
My issue is that when I’m recording the music, it only picks up the vocals. The voices are garbled, sound weird, and it won’t pick up the instruments. Sometimes it won’t even capture half of the vocals it skips over parts, and it sounds robotic, too.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. If you can help, please lead me in the right direction. I’m trying to record some old albums so I can have them on Spotify and preserve them as well.
it is. I’ve done at that and it still sounds like it’s coming through a can. but back in August of last year i had the same problem but it was just picking up the vocal and somehow i fixed it to where it would record the whole thing, well now I forgot what I done to do that.
As above, make sure Windows Enhancements is turned off.
Make sure there are no other applications such as Skype, Zoom, Meetings, etc, running in the background. If everything is OK, do a Windows Clean Shutdown. That makes sure there are no software packages or settings left over trying to “Help You.” Regular Shutdown or Restart don’t work for this.
I’m having the same problem. I’m just using my iphone to record music which worked when I had the prior version of Audacity. but after the update., I couldn’t record music or songs, because of the quality of the so called audio. I havent been able to make anything to get it to record music with vocals, and without vocals. I can only record myself and other sounds in the room. I backrolled, a version or two and nothing’s helped…
