Hello everyone! I would like to improve an audio file from a podcast that was recorded in a radio studio. However, it’s an old studio, and I don’t have much support there…
In the audio, I’m not entirely sure what the specific problem is. There isn’t much background noise that can be removed with noise reduction (when no one is speaking, the audio is pretty quiet). The issue arises when people are speaking, especially with two of the microphones. I’ve noticed some distortion (I’m not an expert, just an amateur podcaster), and when I compare this audio with previous recordings, I detect more “background noise” in the spectrogram, at higher frequencies, over 6000-7000 Hz.
I’m unsure which tools to use to remove or reduce it. I’ve tried applying some filters, but they distorted the voice too much.
I’m attaching a small audio sample for reference. Any advice will be much appreciated!
