Help I need a 24bit audio file but I can't get it to produce 24bit (it's 1152.00kbps)

I need a 24bit audio file but although I think I set everything to 24bit settings it doesn’t come out this way. When the file is analysed it is 1152 kbps. Please help, how do I get 24bit

I assume you want a WAV file? (Some lossy formats like MP3 don’t have bit depth.)

When you get to the Export Dialog Window there are options for Sample Rate and Encoding (bit depth).

You can check the format with MediaInfoOnline (or you can install MediaInfo on your computer).

kbps = sample rate x bits per sample x number of channels

For a mono (1 channel) audio file with a sample rate of 48 kHz (48000), and 24 bits per sample, the bit rate is:

48000 x 24 x 1 = 1152000 bits per second = 1152 kbps
