Headphone volume too low on Mac

Listening to mp3 music volume is fine. Drag and drop mp3 (same file) into Audacity and it’s so low I can barley hear it. Any ideas

Got it fixed. Was a setting in the mac

You can use the following fixes for the Mac Headphone volume;

  1. Use external speakers.
  2. Reboot your Mac.
  3. Check the volume slider.
  4. Make sure the correct sound output is selected.
  5. Reset core Audio.
  6. Contact Apple Support.
