Okay, so this is an issue of preference, but the ONLY thing I like about Spotify’s audio editor is that the cursor stays in the middle while the audio track rolls; in Audacity, the default setting has the cursor move across the screen while the audio track stays static and then when it gets to the end of the window, it jumps to the next sections.
Is there a setting I can change to switch this up?
Thanks in advance! (videos below for reference; ignore the audio on the second one)
Transport > Transport-Options > Pinned Play Head. If you play something, the play head sticks in the middle and the content scrolls underneath.
That’s as close as we get. I would kill to be able to “scrub” like in video editors, but I think that’s still a ways off. Video editor people who join Audacity all say the same thing. “How do I scrub?”
