I recently noticed this, whenever I’m done recording audio and I go to play it back so I can tune and edit it’s constantly freezing and glitches on parts of the audio and it will keep repeating the audio its stuck on making a reviling noise and it continues playing and then gets stuck on a different part of the audio again.
I have a Macbook Air that’s up to date with Ventura 13.3.1 my Audacity is also up to date
I have tried to restart, force quit, reinstall, etc but nothing as of note has worked.
Where is the work? Is it on the Air’s internal drive? That’s probably the best place for it. If you’re connected to any other drives, Audacity may have a hard time connecting and playing the work.
Are you connected to any on-line services while you’re trying to edit? Probably not the best idea.

No, I am never connected to any online services I usually completely quit every other app but Audacity. I record in Audacity and try to play it back and still has problems I’m always connected to the internet and I have full bars
