GET RID OF THE SPLASH CREEN, please!

Hi guys, I know you’re doing a great job trying to make Audacity as better as it can, os as it’s possible, but there are two really annoying thigs in Audacity:
1- The splash screen covering all my OS opened windows
2- The way you think is a good way to deal with more than 1700 installed plugins - That’s a real nightmare.
…and there’s not even a SEARCH engine to find the one you’re looking for!!!
Unbelievable! You can build a complex program and can’t do these so simple things…

I confess I try to avoid to use Audacity just because of these two torture things…

You may not realize that this is a forum where users (try to) help other users, and not the direct contact to the makers of Audacity. Of course, you can address your wishes to them. But since they give you Audacity for free, it is probably their very own decision how the program looks.

Another good advice for you: do not SHOUT. Writing in all-caps is considered shouting in forums and emails.

Well, I think you should post something that could help to fix or help. And I’ve addressed this message (topic) to the one I think could do it…

…if you are the one on charge on this subject, now I know WHY this is never something to be fixed…

They can do anything they want with this program. But they couldn’t block the monitor vision at that point I can’t properly use any other program for 2 or 3 minuets…
They should think about that and I’m pretty sure I am not the only one that would get rid of that annoying splash screen I could…

Maybe you should ask for money to get that splash screen and to make “a normal” plugins menu that we could classify and organize them…
…I think you would see a huge line of people that like me hope you look for this for years…

Are you referring to the splash screen? That should only be visible for a couple of seconds as Audacity launches, and it’s only about 550 x 190 px.

Now you are figuring out.
What can I do to get rid of it.
Sometimes it takes 5 minutes to let me use the computer as I should…
…not to mention when the program scans some new plugins that can’t be used (instruments)…
Really annoying.
And I didn’t say a word about the plugins menu…

You could try a newer (or older) version of Audacity since the version you have is not working properly. (Old versions of Audacity are available from Old Audacity versions download)

Thank you, Steve.

But it’s the closest option to uninstall it…
…I’ve been an Audacity user for I don’t remember how many years…
Maybe I should by a new computer just to get rid of this splash screen, but will not change the plugins menu way to NOT organize them… (and I am not yelling but emphasizing).
