Effect, Special, Repeat, when you get to Special, there is no repeat button to extend the loop in Audacity 4 . Does anyone know about this? If so please help me with this matter . I’m using Audacity 3.79 it has everything and I’am please. I got excited when 4.0.0 was released but found out it had missing things that mad it easy to navigate. Hopefully they put the missing pieces in the 4.0.0 software.
That functionality hasn’t been implemented yet and may get added to a future version of audacity 4. In the meantime, I have added it to my web port of audacity 4: Soundscaper
Until then, you can just do it the manual way, like I used to until the repeat function in Audacity 3 came along. highlight what you want to repeat, add it to a new project then copy entire thing.
Then hit the end button to get to the end of waveform, then paste, end, paste, until you get a length you want. I was delighted to find the repeat function on earlier versions and used it constantly.
I do this to replicate the stuck needle on bad records for stimming purposes as an autist but have done this kind of thing for many, many years after discovering it by accident as a younger child.
