I have downloaded a song from Karaoke Version that contains all the backing tracks including a click track. I would like to add more backing tracks but the problem is that the tempo is variable/warped. It seems like the song/tracks were recorded without a click and then a click was generated based on that recording after the fact. Because the tempo is variable (for example….around 150 BPM but drifts anywhere between 149 to 152), it’s next to impossible to drop in other backing tracks if the imported backing tracks were recorded at a consistent tempo. Logic Pro has a feature to fix this to get all the tracks to adjust and to snap on to a consistent tempo grid but I don’t see anything equivalent in Audacity. I doubt that I am the only one experiencing this. Is this type of feature planned for a future release?
