I have been using Audacity for years however in the last few days when trying to edit new tracks I wanted to delete a small part of the audio by zooming in and selecting it then deleting it, but when I tried to it didn’t let me it only let me select a bigger part of the audio. If anybody knows how to fix this please reply. IT now only letting me do it per second.
You may have the “Snap” tick box ticked.
To see Snapping toolbar…goto View…Toolbars and click the “Snapping tool” name…a tick will appear and the Snapping toolbat will be shown on the bottom of the screen. There is a “Snap” tick box on it…if ticked…just untick it…
You should be able to delete very small parts even down to 1 sample in length.
If you do want to keep “Snap” on you can change the duration of snap from seconds down to samples etc
