Audacity was a nice respectful free product for years but developers never heard users , after few complaints I was told that I need to persuade somehow devs to fix the problem !!? ok with such attitude what is the point to stay with such app now I found lot of alternatives, one of the best is Acoustica , very intuitive and powerfully tool also much more cheaper version but if you don’t want to learn again then there are few good forks without Audacity problems including privacy, so finally leaving this sinking ship… and not going back .!
You had contact to the developers? I, as a long time Audacity user, don’t. There is no contact address of which I know. Maybe you can open tickets at Github or whatever platform they use - but so far, all my problems / questions could be solved on this user forum.
You are welcome to use whatever other application you like. Since Audacity is free software, I would consider it inappropriate to bark at the developers anyway.

ok ok i meant on this forum !! and to be honest making a free software an posting for everyone doesn’t mean shouldn’t be criticized when has some issues and user want to be improved especially when creating problem to use it so I believe you now barking without reason …. you just have to see all sides of the issue not only usual habit “this is a free soft so shut your mouth “
As I wrote before: if you need to have a contact to the developers, open a ticket on their development platform.
Since you write in the “headline” of your first post that you solved your problem, then this is of course fine for me. You don’t need to attack me or others here.
