Files gone after save

Hello developers,

I found a bug and reporting it.

My procedure was:

New project - Add an MP3 file -. Becomes an mp3 track.

Split it with vino separator

  • Save the project
  • It works, file is still on the saved folder.

Because of the seperation you have the mp3 track on top. The instrumental and the vocal beneath it.

Now remove the MP3 track on top and save the file again.

If you look at the folder the file is there with the new time.

But close the project, and the file is gone.

→ If you did not delete the MP3 entry, the file is still there.

-It doesn’t matter if you move the mp3 to the bottom and save it, the effect is still te same, you lost the file.

I hope you can reproduce this, I can, That is been around for a longer time.

I couldn’t reproduce your issue. I wonder if I’m doing everything exactly in order.

Let me ask you, though: when you say “Now remove the MP3 track on top and save the file again.”, you mean simply pressing Ctrl+S or File > Save Project > Save Project?

Otherwise, I followed your exact steps, but the project file remained intact in my case, preserving both the instrumental and the vocal track.
