I often use Audacity to compare waveforms when experimenting with different encoder settings or such. It really would help to be able to quickly see the full path of the waveform I am looking at in Audacity, somewhere.
I know that Audacity shows the title of the “Project” and not the file in the Title Bar, and a prior suggestion to implement that was shot down. But what about making an option to be able to put the full path in the track’s title bar?
Even with a file import, Audacity is smart enough to know where the file came from if it was a local source. When opening local files, Audacity obviously creates a file handle to access the file that already includes the full path.
Is there no way to make an option to use the data from a file open handle to display the full path of a local file in that track’s title bar?
Thanks,
Dave
