So for some reason, audacity sucks…
It didn’t before.
So I uninstall, reboot, reinstall…
TRY to install FFmpeg, but it won’t find it, even when I try to locate it:
and select this file:
avformat-59.dll
NOPE DON’T WORK
Running Windows 11, 64GB of RAM, etc.
This is ridiculous. I am about to bail on this entire program and pay for something that actually works.
Audacty Ver: 3.7.3
Did you install the special Audacity version FFmpeg_5.0.0_for_Audacity_on_Windows_x86_64.exe?
I did:
[FFmpeg_5.0.0_for_Audacity_on_Windows_x86_64 .exe]
Are you using the 64 bit version throughout? avformat-59.dll is not correct for that. Find Libraries entry in Edit-Preferences and use the Locate button to verify that the avformat.dll is in the C:\Program Files\FFmpeg For Audacity folder.
