Hi, when I click on the link to download a copy of FFMPEG, it takes me to a website that specifically says "Mac OSX 64 bit INTEL (NOT M1/ARM) FFmpeg library for Audacity 3.2.2 and below, including 2.3.1 "
While there is no official FFMPEG installer for M1/ARM processors, the link is obsolete because the only Macs this would still apply to are the ones that are still able to upgrade to macOS 26.
Upon my research, there’s only two ways to install FFMPEG on an M1/ARM Mac. Either through Homebrew, or by using the “Shutter Encoder” installer. This issue was discussed in a reddit
post 4 years ago, and unless the author of the website that the installation link currently points to is planning to update that page with instructions on how to acquire the M1/ARM version of FFMPEG (Which hasn’t happened in over 5 years), then that page should be marked as the Intel version only.
Please update the Wiki to reflect the change. It is very confusing for people because it won’t work. Thanks
