I was just forced into updating my Audacity when I was in the middle of recording an audiobook. I don’t understand WHY I had to update as the previous version worked BETTER than this version. The layout compared to the previous version sucks, I had trouble installing the ACX plugin which thankfully I figured out, and trying to click on the audio splits does nothing, in the PREVIOUS version, I was able to quickly click on the splits to get rid of them which saved me time and a migraine. I don’t want this version. I hate the layout. The mechanics take more time to complete. HOW do I get the previous version back??
EDIT: I was able to revert back to the previous version I had without corrupting my files thank God. It’s much more pleasant to look at and easier to navigate.
Yes, no one out a gun to LegendOfElla’s head, but the update might as well have been a peanut butter sandwich for all the good it did her. Your response seems a little brusque and off-putting. You and Koz may need to consider easing up on the Red Bull.
Issue with ver 3.7.4 that is NOT an issue with 3.7.2:
I was unable to set the Save Folder fon the Export Audio dialog or even use the default folder directly after install.
It kept reporting that it could not save the file.
Uninstalled 3.7.4 FULLY twice including clearing the AppData folders and registry entries using CCleaner. Still no go, Rolled back to the 3.7.2 version and all went well.
