I have just loaded Audacity to my tablet. While it works via the inboard speaker, I cannot get a signal to my amp. using a cable. It’s working fine on my computer. I have updated the drivers. Any ideas for a quick fix ?

What operating system does your tablet run?
Windows 10
Thanks. Can you describe the cable you are using? What connectors are on each end?
I am using 2 RCA pin attached to a line input. I have used this setup with Karafun and the sound works perfectly so I assume the problem lies within Audacity.
Yes, that seems like a reasonable assumption.
Surely if you are trying to play audio from the tablet via an amp, you’d be using an output jack than line input??
Perhaps I have used the wrong name, as I mentioned the cable arrangement works with Karafun software and also with Kanto player.
Understood. So, yeah, it is looking like Audacity, isn’t it? Other than rechecking the audio setup, I’m a bit stuck from here. ![]()
Maybe a dumb question, but did you select the headphone output in Audacity? (I’m assuming the “RCA cable” is plugged into the headphone output on the other end.)
Hi Mark, I really appreciate your efforts in trying to help.
Many thanks,
DaveD
No problem. I will let you know if I think of anything else.
I have just downloaded Audacity - where do I find the headphone output ?
Problem sorted. I set up a wireless connection from tablet to mixer and songs are now playing on my amp. Again thanks to evilmrb and DVDdoug for your help.
