Exporting Audio to Desktop Doesn't work(doesn't show up)....can export it to another folder

I’m using Audacity 3.7.4 (the latest, I think) but I seem to have run into a problem/bug of some kind, and I don’t know how to fix it, or what’s causing the bug/problem… As you can see by my post’s title, exporting Audio that I’m done with doesn’t work, eg, I get the progress bar and the window for exporting, and the progress bar showing that it is exporting, but the file doesn’t appear, at all, no matter which audio format I choose (.ogg, flac, .wav or the others)…however, I tried exporting it to another folder, in which I put a Doom wad, and it did show up, and I could play it, so that meant that it had exported successfully, I think…Very Strange…anyone like to share some insights-right now, I’m scratcing my head on this one…Thanks…JB

I fixed the problem…just shut my Mac Pro down, disconnected power cable, went off, had a shower and a large cup of coffee…plugged in power cable, pressed power button, held down “Zap Pram” buttons on keyboard (Apple+Option/alt+P+R) for 3-4 chimes, then let go and let the Mac Pro start up as per usual. All the files that I couldn’t see (were invisible) now I could see (were visible), and all the work I did before showed up like there was no problem at all… so all Fixed…

If that was the solution, I think there is an easier way: just re-start the Finder.

Hold the Command, Option and Escape keys simultaneously
In the window which opens click on the Finder
While Finder is selected, click on the button below (restart Finder).

BTW this method is good to shut down any program which is not responding.
