Exported loops have a click

Hello everyone!

I’ve been using audacity to try to make a loopable sound. When I play the sound in audacity it loops seamlessly, however, when I export it I get a click at the loop point. I’m exporting to OGG, which I’ve read here in the forum is recommended, and it is also the format I want to use.
Does anyone know why the click appears after exporting? I’ve tried playing the sound in different players but the click is always there.
I’ve tried a variety of tricks, from trimming the sound at zero, fading in and out, etc.. But nothing works.

Any help is very welcome!

The waveform that you extract needs to both begin and end with samples at the zero point. If you have snapping enabled, you will have to disable it to do that. Also, saving in the OGG format is going to modify the saved waveform to compress it, so what you play will not be identical sample by sample to what you selected.

Another thing I probably should have mentioned is that both the slope and the intercept of the first sample have to match the last sample. Or at least very, very close.
