Want to Export the audio file as a MP3 but on the drop down “Export” on Audacity page it doesnt allow me to export..finally had to register it as a Audacity aud3..whatever in order not to lose the whole thing! Thought MP3 is enabled on Audacity ..as a few years back I did it, but now, where has it gone? Help!
Go to Edit → Preferences → Modules and make sure mod-mp3 (and everything else) is enabled.
…Sometimes those settings get changed mysteriously.
Are you seeing any error message? What’s happening?
Can you export as WAV or FLAC?
Hello again. Just want to say a big THANKU for solving my problem of not being able to ‘export’ my oldK7 audio recording into MP3 on Audacity to my computer. I followed yr advice and the steps u outlined, and hurrah, Ive got it done! Thanks once again for your help. Appreciate it.
