Hi People of support Audacity.

i am estuding and learning about audacity, in present time i like to learn how can export a file .Mp3 . Wav to a MIDI.

Resumen of the Process to can Do it with Audacity 2.0.5

  1. Open Program Audacity
  2. Import File (Mp3 or Wav)
  3. Export
  4. Selecciono Otros Archivos Sin Comprimir
  5. Can See the Export Midi File :frowning:

Any Help Please!

Audacity does not convert audio to MIDI. It can only export MIDI from a MIDI file.

Audio to MIDI is very hard to do. It means detecting all the notes in a recording, including chords. In practice it can only be done approximately, and even then only for a single voice or instrument.

So you will need to use other tools. See: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Midi#from_audio .
