Everything I record sounds like it was recorded in a tin can

Not sure why, but every thing I record sounds like it was recorded in a tin can (muffled with slight echo.)

I tried recording from multiple sources (“Windows primary audio” device, my MoBo audio, even my webcam.) All recordings sound the same. :frowning:

Normal playback is fine. Recording Settings are 48K stereo (tried Mono too). Not sure what the problem is. I searched online but found nothing helpful. Any help is appreciated.

It is better to type out the word “motherboard” than write “MoBo”. Novice users reading that won’t know what you mean.

Same with “48K”. It is 48000 Hz or 48 kHz. I’m just saying, given this is online with others reading it.

Probably you want to turn off Windows enhancements for each affected device/subdevice: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#enhancements.
