Error when trying to record

I have loaded Audicity on to 3 PCs and I always get the same error when I try to use it, which is

“Error opening recording device. Error code: 0 Success.”

Let’s start with - What are you trying to record from? The mic built-into your laptop? Ect.?

Are you on Windows?

I trying to record the audio from a website I am accessing with Chrome

Are you using WASAPI loopback?

You may have to start playback before you can record.

I’m having the same issue. It should be simple as I’ve used Audacity a few times without issue but this time, no go. What’s the fix??

Hi Doug.

I’ve solved the issue … I had to change the Input device setting in Windows
