Hello. I’m hoping I can get some help. I was an hour into recording a podcast when I accidentally kicked my surge strip off and my computer shut down. When I try to recover my crashed file I get an error stating Error: Not Welel Formed (invlid token) Line 4003. I am able to find the cirrupted AUP file and open it in notebook, but that’s where instructions I’ve found elsewhere on this forum don’t match up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using Windows 10. Thanks!

Not sure if this will work, so ensure that everything is backed up before trying it.
I’ve removed the corruption from line 4003 and this is what is left:

Audacity 2.0.0 referred to in your AUTOSAVE file is now very old. I recommend upgrading to the current 2.1.3 from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows.
