Error: not well formed (invalid token) at line 4303

HELP ME PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE. This was a totally one off recording. I accidentally hit the emergency cut off power switch on the wall, thereby turning EVERYTHING in my studio off. Audacity was recording what I was doing. It obviously didn’t save before abruptly turning off. When I open the Audacity again after rebooting, it comes up with the error msg in the title of this thread. I cannot recover it. Can someone please help me recover what I just recorded. I can e-mail u the project if needed. I copied the whole project just in case.

Cheers in advance, Mike.

It would help us to do that if you gave us the information requested in the pink panel at the top of the page.

Please describe exactly what happened when you restarted Audacity.

Did you see an Automatic Crash Recovery dialogue like this?

And did you recover the project and then you saw the warning about “not well formed”?

If so, open Explorer and type the following in the address bar:

%appdata%

Hit ENTER on your computer keyboard.

Open the “Audacity” folder, then the “AutoSave” folder.

Attach the AUTOSAVE file that should be in the “AutoSave” folder. Please see here for how to attach files: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/how-to-attach-files-to-forum-posts/24026/1
