Error 9999 when trying to record

I am getting host error 9999 whenever I try to record through my Behringer usb wdm 2.8.40.
The microphone settings are definitely on, the sample rate is correct, there are no running apps which use microphone open. I can’t figure it out and it is killing me. Has anyone ran into this problem and is there any solutions besides turning computer on and off, uninstall drivers etc etc etc. I can head my microphone perfectly through my headphones so it is working.

Hmm… This looks more like a software driver update rather than an actual microphone.

Plug in your microphone before starting Audacity, else Transport > Rescan Audio Devices.
