Error -9997 while recording 2nd track.

I was using Audacity to record a song. I use Manjaro Linux and the default ALSA. I recorded one track. That worked fine. I attempted to record the second track. It showed Error -9997 (Invalid sample rate). I changed it to 41Khz, 48, and I was originally recording in 96. I rebooted my computer. I tried to change various settings. Nothing is working. Can someone please help me before I loose my mind.

Are you using PulseAudio?

I recorded one track. That worked fine. I attempted to record the second track.

Are you overdubbing? In overdubbing, both the recording and the playback system have to match.
