EQ Match support

So I have a copy of FabFilter Pro Q 3, which has the potential to take a piece of audio and create an EQ profile based on it, then automatically match a different clip to approximate that EQ setting, except it doesn’t work in Audacity. It does in FL Studio, but I like using Audacity for line recordings because it’s free and more lightweight, in addition to master effects applying individually, which is helpful for what I’m doing. Regardless, I think the fact that the plugin doesn’t function has something to do with Audacity not feeding audio to plugins the same way other programs do, since Pro Q 3 (or any EQ plugin for that matter) doesn’t actually detect any input when playing audio, and therefore cannot create a profile based on its frequency spectrum, or match another clip to it. I understand that this is not a bug, hence why it’s in feature suggestions and not in help, this would be incredibly helpful if it could be implemented, but seems like it would probably require an overhaul of how Audacity handles audio, and any ideas of how this might be able to be worked around (different plugins welcome) would be appreciated.
