I am using windows 10 and audacity 3.0.2 version.
After recording 1 vocal track,i stop and start recording second track,it should go to second track but it is going in continuity on track 1.It was not seen in earlier versions
Secondly, the option of Leveller is disabled in the built in effects section.I am trying to enable it using plug ins but its failing.
thirdly while applying compressor effect on any vocal track, the tempo of whole track is getting changed.

The R key and Shift+R change between Adding to Existing Track and Starting a New Track.
You can reverse those actions in Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Recording > [X]Record on a New Track.

Leveler is available in Effects > Distortion.
Leveler used to be a primary effect, but was demoted because of the distortion it causes. It was kept because of its ability to easily create theatrically distorted voices such as Air Traffic Controller and Taxicab Voice.
Effects > Limiter does many of the same jobs without the distortion. Limiter is used in the Audiobook Mastering Suite. It depends on your application.

I don’t know about that one.

Can you give step by step instructions to reproduce that issue?
