I’m not sure I am wording this in the best way but hopefully I can get the point across.
I am working on creating audio files from video - specifically train sounds. Is it possible to eliminate the doppler effect or even out the sound levels as the train approaches and recedes so that the result sounds consistent the length of the recording?
Thank You!
Using the latest version of Audacity on Window 7 Pro 64.
I don’t think it’s possible to do this precisely, but you could try this experimental plug-in for evening out the level: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/agc-automatic-gain-control/26706/1
and try the “Time Track” feature for adjusting the pitch: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/time_tracks.html
You might do better buying a commercial recording. Train sounds are quite common as “sound effects”.
