Hi I´d really aprecciate if someone could help me. I own an Alesis Strike pro SE and I´ve looking forward for years to open a youtube Chanel and record my drum covers. I´ve been trying to record with audacity for the last months but I haven´t been able to do it. Surely I´m not pressing the right buttons, I´ve bought a lot of cables and adaptors since Audacity doesn´t seem to read the Drum module. I´ve heard you should be able to record just using the Module and a DAW such as Audacity, without audio Interface. Can someone please give me some tipps on how you do it? Thanks
Audacity is NOT a full DAW and it can’t capture/record MIDI. Nor does it support virtual instruments so it can’t convert MIDI to audio.
If you want to record the analog audio with Audacity, you WILL need a audio interface or a desktop/tower computer with a soundcard and audio line-in (blue).
