Easy way to add silence??

I’m looking for an easy way to add time to the “pauses” in recorded speech.
Really what I need is the opposite of the Truncate Silence effect.
I would like to add 5-8 seconds of “dead air” in these periods of silence instead of truncate everything down to 1 second (how I usually use this effect)

I’m working with a program that is 8 minutes too short for the time slot. I have dropped the tempo of the speech 10% already. Any more and it makes the speaker sound like he needs bed rest. I’m running out of idea of how to fill the gaps.

There is an experimental Extend Silences plug-in you can try.

As the “cost” of using it, please give Steve some feedback on the plug-in in that topic.
