Dragging to highlight doesn't work in 3.7.6

I upgraded to 3.7.6, but I kept the previous versions just in case.

Now I find that if I try to highlight a section of track with my trackpad, it only seems to grab the track and move it left and right, and sometimes highlights a section I wasn’t wanting to. If I go back to 3.7.5, it works as normal.

Is this a recognised glitch, or is it just me?

How do I shut off this functionality?

As I recall this was a bug in 3.7.6, which was fixed in 3.7.7.

Thanks. I haven’t received any notice of 3.7.7 yet. I’ll download it now.
