I just purchased an Audio-Technica AT-LP120XBT-UBS LP turntable that recommends Audacity as the best software to use for transferring LP music to a digital format. I have been using Audacity for more than 5 years to record and edit music that I play on my Blues music podcasts. But, my technical capabilities are certainly less than impressive. I am looking for help in learning how to download analog or stereo music from the LP on the turntable to my windows laptop via my Audacity 3.7.5 edition. I am willing to pay for help if needed. I can provide further info if/as needed. Thank you. Best regards, Jamie
What’s the problem?
Did you select the USB turntable as your Recording Device?
What happens when you click the Record button?
Audacity as the best software to use for transferring LP music to a digital format.
As long as it works, your choice of recording software doesn’t affect sound quality. All it has to do is capture the digital audio stream and send to to a file on your hard disk.
Thanks DVDDoug. I’ll give it a try. Best, Jamie
