Hello, i tried to download audacity and ended up with 3 other downloads and a mcafee authorized pop up. My questin is what are the othwr downloads that came with Audacity? I dont know if they were a safe thing to dowload and therefore did not continue. Mcafee pop up would not let me cacel and ended up having to reset my hp note laptop to factory.please let me know why and is it safe and normal to get than one download from you. Thank you.
Only download Audacity from the links on http://audacityteam.org/download/windows.
The links will take you to either FossHub or SourceForge. When you get there, do not click on advertisements that look like download buttons because those buttons are not Audacity. Just wait for the Audacity download box to appear. Audacity will be the only software in that download. Then you’ll be safe.
