Does Audacity 2.3.3 have function to smooth sound?

Hi,

Can someone please let me know if I can use Audacity 2.3.3 on Windows to smooth a small section of a track (see screenshot below)?

Even if you went to the effort of making the upper-envelope ruler-straight, it would make little difference to the sound.

Dynamic range compression could make the envelope straighter, but more horizontal rather than sloped.
(Then you could add back the slope with the envelope tool).
But I doubt you’ll be able to hear any difference by straightening-out the slight undulations the envelope.

Thanks for the information. I played with parameters in Effect → Compressor but didn’t see it makes envelope straighter

It already looks fairly smooth. What’s the purpose? (What are you trying to achieve, and why?)
