Ok, I am an aspiring DJ and have made a mix. I want to have the labels/track info show up on my phone to help me remember names of songs. I have labelled the mix and used the export multiple function, got the separate files, and tried to burn the mix with iTunes, with the option of no gaps. The burner still keeps the track separate when I try and copy the CD onto my desktop. I want to keep the file as one, but have the labels show up, as in my project. What do I need to do so that I can just export my project to an mp3 file, as one mix, but with labels? I’ve spent several hours watching youtube videos but can’t figure it out. Is it possible to do?
That’s a problem. The “shiny disc” formats allow for track or chapter markers but most “computer file” formats don’t. You can burn a CD from one continuous file and put the markers wherever you want using a cue sheet.
I think VLC allows you to play a file from an associated cue sheet so you might look into that.
I’ve also heard that MKV & MKA files support chapters so you might try that, and you might need VLC for that if you can’t already play MKA files on your iPhone. You’ll probably need MakeMKV because I don’t think there’s any way to Matroska file with chapters using Audacity.
Or, you may be able to keep the files separate and play gapless on your phone. If you have trouble making gapless MP3s try AAC (MP4/M4A).
P.S.
It looks like your waveform is “too loud” and clipped (distorted).
Thanks, I’ll take a look at that. Also, I saw a video about mastering audio and followed it. I will double check on that too. Thanks for the feedback!!!
