As an old analogue and physical repair type old man I can physically take a tone arm and place it anywhere on a vinyl record to play anywhere on that record. Cannot do that and being this is a music editing type program I am confused as I need to listen from the beginning every time I try to isolate a section of a song. Next if there is a section of a song I want to remove I highlight that section and just press the delete key. Well it doesn’t delete the highlighted section although it look as though it does, but much later on in the song is where the actual section was deleted (Example I deleted the Heel Yeh in the Eminem song “Business” Well The Heel Yeh is still there yet further on down in the track some other portion of the song was deleted and also introduced skipping at that point where Audacity chose to delete whatever it chose to delete. The file has been turned into garbage.) Why can I not start a song anywhere in the song and why can’t I highlight a section and delete it confidently. Regards KennethDot21
