I tried voice record thru- transport voice record just to see how it worked. Easy. It was checked. I didn’t like it I am doing an audiobook. When I deselected it, unchecked it. It remained. It is unchecked deselected but remains. How do I fix it?
My file “audacity.cfg” (location see in my other response to your duplicate question) contains, among other things, the following entry:
[AudioIO]
SoundActivatedRecord=0
This should mean that the option is de-selected (probably, because I do not use it), and 1 would be selected.
If you cannot de-select the option, it could be a problem that you do not have write permissions to the file… If you want to change the setting manually, make sure that Audacity is not running during the change.
