Custom keybinds don't save upon closing project

I set a few key binds in the shortcut menu, they worked while I was in the project. Upon closing and reopening, they are all cleared again. Yep.

This software should not have been released in this state with this many issues and bugs. I understand bug testing, but that should have been in the popup when I opened Aud3 yesterday. This is not a finished release like I was led to believe.

I ran into the same issue. I tried to set them once. It didn’t take. I closed the program and tried to set them again. It immediately crashed the program.

Between the bugs and the features that Audacity has had forever that aren’t working yet, this version is a joke so far.

Same issue here. The weird thing is that some were saved and some others were not. Everything is so random and buggy. Going back to v3 now.

If things like this annoy you, wait until version 4.1 comes out. I never install a .0 version of anything. Let the other users find all the bugs.

Or here’s a crazy thought, they could have actually gotten everything working instead of releasing a half-assed “official version” that’s no better than the beta versions. Truthfully, beta 2 was more stable for me than 4.0.0

Perhaps you don’t realize that you are on a forum designed for Audacity users to help and support each other. We are not employees of Muse. We do not deserve to hear abuse.

I hope that sometime, somewhere, you ask for help with something and what you get in return is a laughing icon.

All you did was act like I should somehow know and accept that an early, but still official release shouldn’t be expected to work properly, which IMO is total nonsense.

If they wanted to ship out a program that is incomplete and full of bugs for people to test, the least they could have done is put some kind of disclaimer stating such. Last I checked that’s what beta versions were for, but what do I know…

And FYI, I have politely asked for help on this forum in the past. And while I didn’t get a laughing icon, I didn’t get a single response either.
